Mission
To provide a broad risk perspective in the areas of safety, security, and well-being
of persons associated with or represented by the College as well as protecting the
assets of the College; i.e., its people, property, financial resources, and reputation.
Objectives
- Create and maintain a risk culture that incorporates risk management into day to day
activities for all College representatives
- Determine strategy and program objectives
- Establish levels for risk appetite
- Establish the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) structure
- Provide ERM program oversight
Definitions
- Risk – An event or condition that may result in damage, injury, or loss to the College
or persons associated with or represented by the College or that could impede Snow
College from meeting its mission or strategic goals.
- Risk Assessment – Process to identify and rank risks based on the probability of them
occurring and the overall impact they would have on the College
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) – Strategic college-wide approach to managing risk
